Magnolia x ‘Hot Flash’ – (R18-45) – Deep yellow flower with rose flushed base, very narrow petals that open into an upright, narrow flower approx. 5" tall. Flowers open just as the foliage begins to emerge. Foliage beautiful heavy textured and quilted leaves with a wavy margin that mature to be 8" wide and 10" long. Growth habit is upright with very fast growth rate. Mature height 30’+.
Magnolia x ‘Solar Flair’ – (R15-18) – Deep yellow flower with light rose flushed base. Similar to ‘Hot Flash’ but much less rose coloring. Narrow petals that open into an upright, narrow flower approx. 5" tall. Blooms appear before the foliage. Extremely beautiful foliage that is heavy textured and quilted. Leaves have very wavy margins and mature to be 6" wide and 8" long. Growth habit is upright with fairly fast growth rate. Mature height 30’+.
Magnolia x ‘Sleeping Beauty’  – (R17-12)– Very deep yellow flowers. I have not seen the flower personally, so I’m going by the breeder’s description. Shape of the flower is unknown. The plant is tetraploid, and the flowers are much larger that normal. The leave shape is very irregular and rugose, maturing to 4" wide and 6" long. Reported to be very late blooming (June?) and also does not leave out until this time. Would be an excellent parent for breeding late blooming magnolias! Growth habit appears to be fairly loose when young, then very upright with age. Mature height unknown.
Magnolia x ‘Sunburst’ – (R16-22) - Very deep canary yellow flowers. Narrow petals that open into an upright, narrow flower approx. 5" tall. Flowers open when they just begins to emerge. In bloom the tree appears to be covered with candle flames. Beautiful foliage that is heavy textured and quilted, maturing to 6" wide and 8" long. Leaves have wavy margins. Growth habit is upright with fairly fast growth rate. Mature height 30’+.
Magnolia x ‘Gold Cup’ – (R18-27) - Large, medium yellow, cup shaped flowers. Flowers 6"+ wide. Foliage is very heavy textured and puckered, maturing to 8" wide and 8" long. Plant is a tetraploid. Growth habit is broadly upright with fairly fast growth rate. Mature height 20’+.
Magnolia x ‘Golden Endeavor’ – (R13-12) - Small, medium yellow with green flushed base flowers that are cup shaped. Flowers approx. 3-4" wide, but produced in tremendous numbers. Nice foliage that matures to 7" wide and 7" long. Growth habit is rounded with medium growth rate. Mature height 20’+.

Magnolia x "May to Frost" (will be renamed in the future) - (R19-63) - Very deep reddish purple flowers that never seem to open completely. The best feature of this plant is that it repeat blooms the entire season! Nice , wavy margined foliage that matures to 3" wide and 4" long. Growth habit is fairly upright and branched heavily even when young. Growth rate is medium to fast. Mature height 15’+.

Magnolia x ‘Tranquility’ – (R15-20) - Pale golden flowers with slight rose blush at base. Flowers open flat and and have wide petals. Flowers approx.7-8" wide. Foliage is wavy and cupped upward, maturing to 6" wide and 6" long. Growth habit is rounded. Growth rate medium. Mature height 15’+.
Magnolia x ‘Daybreak’ - Pure deep pink flowers with no purple tones. Flower form is similar to M. cambellii. Flowers approx. 10"+ wide and are very fragrant. Foliage has wavy margins and matures to 6" wide and 10" long. Growth habit is narrowly upright and formal in appearance. Growth rate is medium. Mature height 30’+. Flowers open very late in the season. This is truly one of the best magnolias ever created!!! Would be an excellent replacement for Bradford pears and would be great as a street tree.
Magnolia x ‘Stellar Acclaim’ – (R15-23) - Pale yellow with rose flushed base flowers. Flowers are M. stellata in form and open up very flat along the branches. Flowers approx. 6-8" wide. Foliage is very dark green and matures to 5" wide and 8" long. Growth habit is spreading. Growth rate is medium. Mature height 20’+. This is my favorite of all the yellow flowered magnolias! An added bonus is that it has a good fragrance.

Magnolia x ‘Anticipation’ – (R3-18) - Medium yellow flowers. Good form to blooms. Flower size? Foliage is extremely nice with a slight blue tone to the leave. Leaves mature to 5" wide and 8" long and are very oval shaped. Excellent as a foliage plant! Growth habit spreading to upright spreading. Growth rate medium. Mature height 20’+.

Magnolia x Gold Crown’ – Very deep gold flowers of very heavy substance. Very large cupped shaped flowers approx. 10" wide. Foliage has very wavy margins and matures to 6" wide and 10" long. Plant is tetraploid and this trait shows up in all aspects of this tree: Flower size, leave size and substance and in branch thickness. Growth habit is fairly upright. Growth rate is medium to fast. Mature height 30’+.

Magnolia x ‘Serenade’ – (R16-38) - Pure white goblet shaped flowers. Flower size 6-8" across. Extremely good flower form. Quite possible the best white flowered magnolia! Foliage is puckered and matures to 6" wide and 8" long. Growth habit is fairly upright. Growth rate is medium. Mature height 20’+.

Magnolia stellata ‘Pink Perfection’ – (R14-29) – Double flowered dark pink selection. I don’t have any good information at this point.

Magnolia x ‘Eskimo’ – (R11-17) – Pale purple and white flower. I have not seen it bloom yet. The foliage reminds me a very heavy textured Mag. Kobus. The stems are extremely stocky (maybe tetraploid???). Main feature is that the flowers are not damaged by slightly below freezing temperatures!
